Hellcat Maggie
Brisbane Cbd
Hellcat Maggie is a lively casual laneway eatery and bar hidden away on Rich Lane in Brisbane CBD.
A welcome addition to this northern area of the CBD, which is a bit of a desert when it comes to dining and drinking, Hellcat Maggie is open daily for breakfast, lunch or dinner and drinks and up late Thursdays to Sundays*.

Take a seat inside at a booth or perch on a stool at the garden terrace that opens onto the laneway and tuck into some finger-lickin’ good soul food without the pretences.

For breakfast there’s toast with all manner of toppings (from avo and feta to scrambled eggs or Nutella and strawberries), omelettes, breakfast taco or vegan feast.

The rest of the day customers can take their pick of burgers such as Chicken, Cheese, Hawaiian Pork or Fish, the Happy Jack (vegetarian) as well as The Boss Burger (a giant ‘works’ style burger for those with an almighty appetite), with accompaniments such as dukkah spiced pumpkin chips, haloumi fries or chunky chats potatoes.

For something more substantial, Big Eats include ‘The Borough’s dirty pork ribs basted in Irish whiskey, Beef rib pot pie or Hellcat lager barramundi. There’s also a couple of nonna-style Italian dishes – Little Italy’s spaghetti and meatballs or lasagne.

And for something lighter there are salads such as Avocado and dukkah spiced pumpkin, Warm quinoa and chorizo or Casear.

Recommended to start or as bar snacks are the Share Boards with options of fish bites, chicken karaage, meatballs or charred corn on the cob.
Otherwise there are chicken wings with taco spice, honey and soy or taco spice and decadent loaded fries – try the Maggie Mayhem (with cheddar cheese, savoury mince, jalapeno slices and hot sauce).
Meanwhile desserts include old faves with a twist – think Ice-Cream sundae, drunken apple turnover and chocolate brownies.
From the bar try the in-house specialty beer, the Hellcat Lager, take advantage of the extensive wine list by the glass or bottle or sip on the signature spicy cocktail – Maggies Blood (vodka, pomegranate and lime).
Lastly for those after a caffeine hit, hear you’ll find Zeus coffee on pour, made from their boutique coffee container Humanity & Co.
