Surrounded by greenery, with outdoor seating and umbrellas providing shade, Baretto transports you straight to a cafe in Italy. It’s the type of space where you can sit back and sip a glass of wine (from the small list of house wines while the afternoon drifts by. You’ll spot plenty of locals stopping by on their afternoon walks to grab a takeaway pizza - and often one of their delectable desserts too.

They specialise in pizza here - and take it very seriously. With a traditional wood-fired oven, you can rest assured it’ll be so good you won't want to stop at just one slice. At Baretto, the lamb and goat’s cheese pizza comes highly recommended, topped with slow-cooked lamb, goat’s cheese, onion, Kalamata olives, Greek yoghurt, tomato, and mozzarella.

For vegetarians, the truffle and mushroom pizza is a must-try. Topped with porcini mushrooms, truffle, and parmesan on a white mozzarella base, it’s simply too good to pass up. At Baretto, the chef also recommends the Supreme, it’s as decadent as it sounds - loaded with double-smoked ham, pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, onion, capsicum, pineapple, tomato, and mozzarella.

Their arancini are the perfect companion if you’re unwinding with an afternoon wine or spritz. With a range of flavours including napoletana, truffle and mushroom, and jalapeno and mozzarella, it’s hard to choose just one. If you’re feeling indecisive, their tasting platters let you sample a mix - the best way to try a little bit of everything.

Can you really have Italian without dessert? Their adorable takeaway cans filled with tiramisu and cheesecakes make it easy to indulge, even if you’re just swinging by. Local favourites include the pistachio tiramisu and the Biscoff cheesecake - perfect for anyone with a serious sweet tooth.
