A guide to some of the best dog parks in Brisbane
Ironbark Dog Café in Victoria Point is Brisbane’s only offleash dog park where pooches can lap up a puppycino
Orion Off Leash Park is Queensland's only off leash dog park in a shopping centre
Riverside Dog Park is one of South Brisbane’s hidden gems - a long narrow offleash park that stretches along the riverfront
Schuster Park is top of the league in the dog park stakes – a vast off-leash expanse of interconnected grassy fields and saltwater creek and an on-leash small sandy beach with picnic area, BBQ and playground.
Lucky canines on the southside don't need to travel too far for a paddle and a play with Colmslie Recreation Reserve (not to be confused with Colmslie Beach Reserve) in Morningside providing both a beach and off-leash dog park.
Pt Cartwright Reserve is not just a must-visit for its spectacular Sunshine Coast views but it also happens to double as the fantastic after hours Buddina dog park.
Decker Park is one of those rare all-in-one parks that suit just about everyone.
Aquatic Paradise is a unique non-enclosed sea front expanse for dogs.
Another doggy gem in an out of the way place - this is one of Brisbane's largest off-leash areas (4 hectares), dotted with shady trees and the odd picnic shelter.
This small but lovely treed dog park, complete with benches for owners and water for dogs is tucked away on the cusp of Grange Forest.
The only dog off leash area with sweeping city and district views, this unfenced reserve is dominated by the gargantuan fortress-like hulk of the 1968 built reservoir.
Make no bones about it, this has to be the most carefree dog off-leash area in Brisbane.
The only off leash dog park on the Redcliffe Peninsula more than compensates with its sprawling size.
Urban dogs and their owners love this one – a lovely oval of space flanked by the Powerhouse, the river and Cutters landing boardwalk.
One of the largest fenced spaces in the west, coupled with the scenic forested backdrop of Enoggera Hill makes this is a park worth travelling a bit further for.
