Green Hill Reservoir Dog Park

Chapel Hill

The only dog off leash area with sweeping city and district views, this unfenced reserve is dominated by the gargantuan fortress-like hulk of the 1968 built reservoir.

Dogs are free to roam the three sides of the water tower beyond the car park, with water and bins the only facilities. Meantime owners can enjoy the fabulous vistas, the best being from atop the reservoir staircase.

Drive in entry is via Dellamara St, which intersects with Russell Tce.

For those looking to combine the off leash romp with an on leash bushwalk, opposite Dellamara St is the start of the Lookout Trail, a steep-and-rocky-at-times path that is one of the shortest and most direct from the western suburbs to the summit of Mt Coot-tha - a hike of around 3km return.
