Dimmi

Ascot

Updated: Oct 13, 2026

Handmade pasta, charcoal-grilled dishes and seriously good cocktails are coming to Racecourse Road, with Dimmi set to open in November this year.

The new Italian restaurant is all about bringing people together over good food, great drinks and long lunches, with a neighbourhood feel that makes it just as suited to a midweek dinner as a special occasion.

At the heart of Dimmi is a menu inspired by traditional Italian cooking, with handmade pasta, charcoal-grilled dishes and generous plates designed for sharing. You can expect to kick things off with warm focaccia, gnocco fritto with prosciutto or Dimmi's fried lasagne bites before moving on to a menu of cold plates, grill favourites and hearty mains.

Pasta lovers will want to save room for dishes like raviolo filled with braised beef and celeriac, alongside cappellacci with burro e oro. Elsewhere on the menu, cotoletta alla bolognese and grilled radicchio with agrodolce and stracciatella bring even more Italian flavour to the table.

The drinks menu is getting just as much attention, with Italian classics given a creative twist. Expect cocktails like a Negroni smoked over red cedar, a limoncello sour topped with brûléed elderflower foam, and a Garibaldi Swizzle featuring blood orange granita. A strawberry spritz will also feature, alongside an extensive selection of Italian and Australian wines.

Even the bar has been designed around Dimmi's focus on conversation and connection, with a lower counter that puts bartenders and guests on the same level. Rather than keeping the action behind a raised partition, the setup invites diners to watch their drinks being made and chat directly with the person pouring them.

Dimmi takes its name from the Italian phrase meaning "tell me", reflecting the restaurant's focus on conversation, curiosity and connection. The idea is simple: create somewhere people can drop in after work, celebrate after the races or settle in for a long Sunday lunch without feeling like every visit needs to be a special occasion.

Dimmi is scheduled to open on Racecourse Road in November 2026. Keep an eye out for more info coming soon!
