White Rock Spring Mountain is a scenic 2500ha conservation estate with walking trails just 20 mins from Ipswich's CBD.
Out of the half dozen or so trails available to walk in this vast preserved bushland, the coolest and most scenic are on the southern side in the vicinity of some remnant ethereal lagoons...
Walkers have a choice between the 1km Whites Hill circuit or the 2km Sankey’s Mountain circuit, both through open eucalypt forest and both relatively easy grade and suitable for strollers.
Mt Coot-tha’s Summit Circuit combines the original scenic and highly popular Summit Track with the Mahogany Trail

Toohey Forest is remarkable for the fact that at only 10km from the CBD, here is a 260 ha preserved sample of the forest vegetation that once covered most of Brisbane.
Bunyaville Conservation Park is a true wildlife sanctuary right in the middle of Brisbane suburbia with well maintained tracks
A sprawling 500 ha bush reserve tucked away in Anstead, with a network of pathways and trails open to hikers, dogs on leashes
An oasis of beautiful bushland, criss-crossed by easy walking paths and awash with grass skirt trees
