Coyote's Roadhouse
Sunshine Coast
Updated: Sep 25, 2026
Saddle up, Sunshine Coast - Coyote’s Roadhouse is now open at Big Top Shopping Centre in Maroochydore, bringing a all the Wild West energy, live music, pool, darts, the Sunny Coast's first ever mechanical bull and plenty of cowboy-inspired fun to Ocean Street.
Coyote’s Roadhouse is the latest venue from Hallmark Hospitality, the group behind Foxy Malone’s Irish Pub in Mooloolaba and venues across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Inspired by the spirit of an American roadhouse, the new venue is designed for everything from casual drinks and dinner to big nights out with your mates.
And while the live entertainment is a big part of the experience, there’s plenty more to get stuck into.
Coyote’s Roadhouse features live bands, DJs, themed events and weekly entertainment, with two stages keeping the music going throughout the venue. Then there’s the main attraction: the first bucking bull of its kind on the Sunshine Coast.
Think you can stay in the saddle? Grab your mates, take on the bull and see who can last the longest.
The newly renovated venue also has a dedicated games area, with interactive dart boards for groups of up to six, electronic darts, pool tables, country-themed pinball machines, Ring the Bull and a Big Buck Hunter arcade game.
Basically, you can turn up for dinner and easily find yourself staying for the rest of the night.
The menu leans into Southern-inspired flavours, loaded pub favourites and classic roadhouse fare, with plenty designed for sharing.
Start with snacks like loaded fries, chicken wings, mac and cheese croquettes, Cobb loaf or Coyote’s fried chicken, before moving onto burgers and sandwiches including the Dipper Smash Burger, Philly Cheesesteak and Alabama Fried Chicken Burger and so much more!
Inside, the venue is being transformed by Gold Coast-based Space Cubed Design Studio, with the fit-out drawing inspiration from country towns, rodeo culture and classic outback hospitality.
Expect plenty of rustic touches, including reclaimed timber, aged corrugated metal, worn leather, cowhide and blackened steel, alongside vintage signage, rodeo memorabilia and mounted horns.
The result is a rugged yet welcoming space that brings an American roadhouse feel to the Coast, with plenty of room for eating, drinking, dancing, playing and, of course, attempting to conquer the bucking bull.
