Pier 88
Manly
Updated: Mar 28, 2026
Pier 88 is a pavilion-style restaurant and bar perched right over the water on the William Gunn Jetty in Manly, just beyond the Manly Pool.
With views over Manly boat harbour, Pier 88 has an open-plan layout that makes the most of the waterfront setting and the bay breeze. Timber finishes and simple nautical accents feature throughout the space, in keeping with its location on the marina.
Open early for breakfast and coffee before moving into lunch and dinner later in the day, Pier 88 is a convenient spot for a meal with a water view, whether you're stopping by after a walk along the Esplanade or settling in for a late bite to eat,
The breakfast menu covers everything from quick morning bites to more filling dishes. For a sweet option, there's Banoffee Pancakes, served with caramelised banana, butterscotch sauce, and vanilla bean ice cream. There are also plenty of savoury choices like Chilli Scrambled Eggs, Ham Hock Beans or Potato Rosti,
For lunch and dinner, the kitchen focuses on modern Australian flavours and fresh seafood. Small plates include Spicy Beef Tartare served on a crisp rösti with pickled spring onion, capers, and Manchego, Black Pepper & Lime Cured Ocean Trout with rye bread or fresh oysters served with a gin and burnt nashi pear dressing.
Larger dishes offer a mix of local fish and premium meats. The crispy skin barramundi is a staple choice, paired with slow-cooked fennel, pea, and a tarragon sauce. For something heartier, BBQ Butterflied Chicken comes with cauliflower and Korean chilli, while 400g Wagyu OP Rib is accompanied by roast kipfler potatoes, shallots, and a bourbon jus.
The cocktail list is designed for waterfront sipping, featuring plenty of refreshing, fruit-led options, such as Matcha Colada, a botanical take on the tropical classic, mixing white rum, pineapple, and coconut cream with matcha. Other highlights include Pier Blue or Spicy Pineapple Margarita and Yuzu & Peach Gin Spritz.
Need to know - There is a limited amount of parking in the carpark near the jetty.
