Brisbane's Secret Tiny Doors
Updated: Apr 25, 2026
Take a careful look around Brisbane and you'll find these secret and mysterious little doors - on trees, in the city's oldest laneways, and even inside the Queensland Art Gallery:
Prolific Tiny Door artist Mace Robertson has also been busy recreating more tiny shops including the gorgeous blue Darvella Land, outside Darvella Patisserie in Bulimba and a recreation of Paladar Fumior Salon, the iconic cigar bar and later cafe that occupied an old air raid shelter on the corner of Fish Lane and Merivale St, South Brisbane. Also worth checking out is the tiny replica 1950's diner that pays homage to the famous California Cafe that once stood on the corner of Brunswick St and Maclachlan St, adjacent to the entrance to California Lane.
