Grand View Hotel 175 Year Anniversary

Updated: Aug 23, 2026

Queensland’s oldest licensed pub, the iconic Grand View Hotel will celebrate 175 years with a huge one-day celebration, ‘GV Fest 175’ culminating in a concert with internationally recognised Aussie music star Vanessa Amarosi on Saturday 29th August.

The land on which the Grand View Hotel now stands was first established in 1851, making this milestone a celebration of one of the region's oldest and most storied sites. Since then, it has grown into a true Redlands institution, a place where generations of locals have gathered to share a meal, a drink and good company

The daytime festivities will kick off from 11am, and include something for everyone. With free entry, it’s perfect for those who want to spend their Saturday afternoon enjoying live music on the main stage, browsing a variety of local market stalls and making the most of the pop-up bars and food stalls. The littlest of guests will be catered too with a dedicated kids’ zone.

At 5pm the evening session begins. This session is ticket only, and the venue will stay fully activated so guests can still enjoy the pop-up bars, food and market stalls throughout.

The one-night-only concert will see Australian Idol contestant Hunter Boswell entertain the crowd from 5.30pm, before headliner Vanessa Amorosi takes the stage at 7pm. Attendees will be able to celebrate one of Australia’s most iconic voices at one of Queensland’s most loved venues. Taking the stage after Vanessa Amorosi, will be DJ Vanderfunk to keep the celebrations going until late.
