Tiny Door No. 11

Bakery Lane

One of Brisbane’s interesting spots to hang out in for foodies and shoppers alike, Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley has a little secret! It’s also home to a gorgeous tiny door that is just waiting to be noticed.

As you enter the precinct off Ann Street, Tiny Door No. 11 is on your right, just before The New Black cafe.

Tiny Door No. 11, Bakery Lane, Fortitude Valley

Artist Mace Robertson created No 11 in 2018 as part of the Bakery Lane Art Trail, increasing the number of his tiny doors contributions across Brisbane.

If you’re up on your feng shui, you’ll know that a yellow front door promotes warmth and happiness, and many people believe the colour reflects the occupant's bubbly personality, optimism and positive disposition.

We did knock, but the door was locked. We’re sure, though, whoever lives there is full of sunshine and rainbows… just a little shy.

Nice to know – Here’s where you’ll find Mace’s other tiny door installations: in historic Burnett Lane, and in South Brisbane.
