The Paladar

South Brisbane

Updated: Dec 24, 2023

THE PALADAR HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 2023.

The Paladar is a cosy coffee nook and boho book shop perched on the corner of Fish Lane and Merivale Street in South Brisbane.

The Paladar, South Brisbane

Formerly known as the Paladar Fumior Salon, a Cuban espresso bar, before becoming Miss Green's Beans, The Paladar has returned, with the new owners restoring the iconic building (an old bomb shelter) to its former rustic glory.

While you won't find any Cuban cigars here, you will find delicious Italian-style Segafredo coffee, organic tea by Poet, homemade sweet treats, and second-hand books.

Downstairs, the small space is filled with an eclectic collection of books while a record player spins vintage vinyl, from the surf sounds of The Atlantics to the country twang of Townes Van Zandt.

Customers can enjoy their well-brewed coffee or tea in the quaint courtyard equipped with retro furniture, or head upstairs to the rooftop, where they can soak up some sunshine with a good book in hand.

Nice to know: The Paladar is pooch-friendly.
