Brisbane Ukrainian Festival 2026

Holland Park West

Updated: Jul 27, 2026

Ukrainian Festival Brisbane 2026 will be held on Saturday 22 August, from 11:00am to 5:00pm, in Holland Park West, inviting Brisbane locals to celebrate Ukrainian culture and community.

Stage

Visitors can enjoy traditional favourites including Varenyky potato and cheese dumplings and Medivnyk honey cake, alongside vibrant dance performances, live music, family-friendly rides, market stalls and interactive cultural activities.

Girls singing

The community is also invited to share messages of hope as part of a giant handcrafted "35" sunflower installation, with the sunflower serving as a powerful symbol of resilience and hope for those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Children

The installation marks a significant milestone, celebrating 35 years since Ukraine restored its independence and honouring the strength and spirit of the Ukrainian people.

Three women

Held just two days before Ukraine's Independence Day on 24 August by the Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc., the event brings the wider Brisbane community together in celebration and solidarity.

Audience

Funds raised throughout the day will support displaced Ukrainians rebuilding their lives in Queensland while helping preserve and share Ukrainian culture with future generations.

Admission is free.
