2026

Updated: Jun 05, 2026

Brisbane is set to welcome some of the nation's best equestrian talent this June as the Festival of Showjumping returns to the Queensland State Equestrian Centre (QSEC), bringing eight days of world-class competition, entertainment, prizes, food trucks and more!

Taking place from June 19–28, the Festival of Showjumping has become one of Australia's premier equestrian events, attracting elite horses and riders from across the country. With the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games now just six years away, the event offers spectators a rare opportunity to witness Olympic-calibre competition right on our doorstep.

Organised by the Queensland Showjumping Club, the Festival of Showjumping is now considered a key benchmark event on the national calendar, influencing rankings, shaping Olympic and World Cup pathways and providing riders with an important platform to compete at the highest level.

Among the stars set to take centre stage is 2024 Olympic silver medallist Christopher Burton, alongside current Australian World Cup League winner Phillip Lever and Australia's highest money-earning horse-and-rider combination, Emma Collins and Oaks Abracadabra.

While competition runs across all eight days, Saturday, June 27 is the festival's feature day and promises the most exciting action. The highlight is the prestigious Caboolture FEI World Cup, which begins at 1pm and will see top riders tackle a challenging course in pursuit of valuable World Cup points.

Following the World Cup, crowds can enjoy a thrilling team speed event, accompanied by a lively soundtrack from the festival's resident DJ.

Beyond the arena, there will be plenty to entertain visitors of all ages. Families can explore a dedicated fun zone, browse a wide range of trade stalls, enjoy food truck fare and enter merchandise giveaways throughout the day.

Adding to the festivities, Outback Spectacular dog trainer Heidi Mackay will present a special demonstration featuring her talented canine stars, while the festival's Mega Raffle will offer attendees the chance to win a share of more than $10,000 in prizes.

As the competition wraps up, the celebrations continue into the evening with live music from Meridian and a licensed bar, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and mingle with riders and fellow spectators.
