Century Pools Family Raceday

Brisbane’s favourite family raceday is back - and it’s bringing some very special guests along for the ride! The annual Century Pools Family Raceday is taking over Doomben Racecourse on Saturday 12 September, with a jam-packed day of live racing, free family entertainment and plenty of Wiggles-inspired fun.

Headlining the day are The Tree of Wisdom and Dorothy the Dinosaur Show, with Dorothy, The Tree of Wisdom, Wags the Dog, Captain Feathersword and Henry the Octopus hitting the stage on Doomben’s Public Lawn.

Little ones can sing and dance along to much-loved songs including Rock-A-Bye Your Bear, Hot Potato, Do the Propeller and The Rattlin’ Bog, making it the perfect day out for mini Wiggles fans.

And the fun doesn’t stop at the stage. Kids can enjoy a whole lineup of free activities, including pony rides, face painting, an inflatable obstacle course, a Bluey jumping castle, lawn games and a craft zone.

When it’s time for a refuel, grab lunch from one of Doomben’s on-course food outlets or check out the pop-up food trucks serving up tasty bites on the Public Lawn.

While the kids are kept entertained, grown-ups can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy an action-packed card of live thoroughbred racing, with the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes also broadcast live from Flemington on screens around Doomben Racecourse.

Whether you’re there for the racing, the dancing, the free activities or simply a fun family day out, this is one September event worth putting on the calendar.

And the best part? Kids aged 17 and under enter free!
