MS Moonlight Walk

Roma Street Parkland

Updated: Sep 03, 2026

Get ready to lace up your sneakers and walk for a cause as the MS Moonlight Walk returns to Brisbane’s Roma Street Parkland this October, bringing an evening of glowing lanterns, connection and community spirit.

Bringing thousands of Queenslanders together under the moonlight, this uplifting charity event is all about shining a light on neurological conditions and showing people living with them that they never have to face their journey alone.

Whether you’re walking with family, friends or your workplace crew, there’s a course to suit everyone — from a gentle 1km all-abilities loop with very little incline through to the 7.5km challenge. There’s also a new 7.5km Twilight Run for those who prefer to pick up the pace.

The evening kicks off from 4pm, when the Moonlight Festival site on Celebration Lawn comes alive with entertainment, stalls, food trucks, event merch and more. The Twilight Run gets underway at 5pm, followed by the walks from 6pm, with participants collecting their lanterns to light up the night.

At the heart of the event is a powerful mission: raising awareness and funds to support the 1.3 million Queenslanders living with neurological conditions, including MS, MND, epilepsy, Parkinson’s and dementia. Funds raised through the MS Moonlight Walk help power vital services including the NeuroAssist InfoLine, Neuro Wellness Hubs, MS nursing and specialist telehealth appointments, as well as MS research working towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

With adult, children’s and family ticket options available, it’s an easy way to turn a Saturday night into something meaningful, while enjoying a magical walk through Brisbane’s lush parklands and sparkling city surrounds.

Can’t make it to Brisbane? You can still get involved through MS Moonlight Walk: In Your Neighbourhood, with participants sent a Light-Up Pack so they can choose their own route and distance. Every step helps create a more connected future for Queenslanders living with neurological conditions.
