THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

Arena Atomica: Skate-ology is a thrilling fusion of extreme sports and science, where world-class skaters will defy gravity in a high-energy performance that showcases the physics of skateboarding, at South Bank Piazza on March 29 & 30.

Presented with The Australian Skateboarding Federation, the action-packed new show from World Science Festival Brisbane dissects the science behind skateboarding in one phenomenal arena event.

Arena Atomica Skate-ology

A blend of sport and science, Arena Atomica: Skate-ology will immerse audiences in the thrill of the extreme while layering in the mechanics behind stunts and the physics of motion.

Watch as impossible tricks unfold before your eyes while leading physicists and sports science experts drop in, spot the fakie and bear witness to what seem like gravity-defying tricks in a quest to answer the one big question: how did they just do that?

Participating in this event are world-class skaters Jesse Noonan, Tommy Fynn, George Richards, Taniah Meyers, Coco Crafter and more. So don't miss your chance to come along to South Bank Piazza and be awestruck by tricks and mind-flipping science for all ages!
