The visually stunning production, choreographed and directed by Garry Stewart, is a bold fusion of contemporary ballet and the chart-topping music of pop icon Sia.
Raw, radiant, and unrelentingly human, Elastic Hearts is a visually arresting production, that will take audiences on a sensory journey through nature, creativity and resilience. At its centre is the commanding figure of ‘Gaia’, a matriarchal spirit invoking the cycles of life in a performance that is both intimate and epic.
The first of three music-led world premieres exclusive to the Gold Coast, which are forged by a bold new partnership between Queensland Ballet and HOTA, Elastic Hearts signals a powerful new era for contemporary performance on the Gold Coast.
