Breast Cancer Trials’ Q&A - SEX, FERTILITY AND PREGNANCY
State Library of Queensland
Updated: Jul 14, 2026
Breast cancer can bring questions that many people don't feel comfortable asking, particularly around sex, intimacy, fertility and pregnancy.
On Tuesday, July 28, Breast Cancer Trials is creating a safe space to have those conversations with a free live Q&A at the State Library of Queensland from 5:30pm to 7pm.
Bringing together leading medical experts and women with lived experience, the panel will explore the impact of breast cancer on sexual health, fertility, family planning and identity, while highlighting the important role of research in improving quality of life and patient outcomes.
Moderated by author and journalist Annabel Crabb, the discussion will tackle the questions many people have but often hesitate to ask, offering practical advice, expert insights and personal perspectives in a supportive environment.
The Q&A - broadcast live from the State Library of Queensland in Brisbane - will create a safe and informative space to unpack the questions many people have, but don’t always feel comfortable asking.
Topics include intimacy after breast cancer, fertility preservation, pregnancy after treatment, emotional wellbeing and navigating life beyond diagnosis.
The event is free to attend, with registrations now open.
