The iconic United Airlines Jetty 2 Jetty Marathon will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026, with strong demand already seeing the popular Brokr. Half Marathon sell out months ahead of race day on July 19.
Set along the stunning coastline of Moreton Bay, the milestone event is set to attract thousands of participants from across Australia and beyond, cementing its reputation as one of Queensland’s most scenic and community driven running events.

A key focus for 2026 is community impact, with charity partner I AM KIND MVMNT playing a key role in this year’s celebrations. The partnership highlights the event’s commitment to promoting kindness, connection, and positive social change both on and off the course.
Tourism and Events Moreton Bay CEO, Luke Edwards, said the 40th anniversary marks a significant milestone.
“This event has grown into something truly special over the past 40 years. It’s not just about running – it’s about community, participation, and showcasing the incredible beauty of the Moreton Bay city.” Mr Edwards said.
To mark the 40th anniversary, a limited-edition merchandise range will also be released, giving participants and supporters the chance to be part of the milestone celebration. Official 40th anniversary Jetty 2 Jetty t-shirts and racer singlets will be available on race day, alongside the already launched Yeah Buddy hat collection, including a special edition retro design celebrating four decades of the event.
