FESTITALIA returns to the RNA Showgrounds on Sunday, September 20, bringing the sights, sounds and flavours of Italy to Brisbane for one vibrant day of food, culture and family fun.
One of Queensland's most loved cultural festivals, the annual event celebrates Italian heritage with live entertainment, traditional experiences and authentic cuisine.
Food lovers can feast on everything from handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza to gelato, espresso and more than 10,000 freshly made cannoli. New for 2026 are Ancient Roman cooking classes with pastry chef Andreas Lachman from Mare Nostrvm and mozzarella-making demonstrations with Alessandro Motta, while world-renowned pizza acrobat Youssef Ben Touati returns to wow crowds with his gravity-defying dough tossing.
Entertainment takes centre stage throughout the day with performances from acclaimed opera singers Raffaele Pierno and Divina Opera, traditional Tarantelladancers, live bands, roaming Venetian performers and colourful stilt walkers.Visitors can also dance along to Italian music, browse vintage Italian vehicle displays and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of a bustling Italian piazza.
Families will find plenty to keep all ages entertained, with interactive games, Roman historical displays, Prima Spada fencing experiences, Nonna's Slipper Throw and children's activities hosted by Kidzclub Australia. Whether you're celebrating your Italian heritage or simply love great food and lively festivals, FESTITALIA promises an unforgettable day out in Brisbane.
From authentic cuisine and live entertainment to hands-on cultural experiences and family-friendly fun, FESTITALIA offers a true taste of Italy without leaving Brisbane. Gather your family and friends and head to the RNA Showgrounds on September 20 for a celebration of Italian culture that's guaranteed to leave you saying, Evviva!
