Brisbane, the Mormons are back! The Tony®, Olivier® and Grammy® Award-winning The Book of Mormon is now playing at QPAC, giving Brisbane audiences the chance to catch one of the world’s most celebrated, and gloriously irreverent, musical comedies live on stage. 

Created by South Park masterminds Trey Parker and Matt Stone, alongside Avenue Q and Frozen songwriter Robert Lopez, the musical follows two very different Mormon missionaries sent on a mission to a remote village in Uganda. What could possibly go wrong?

Expect big musical numbers, ridiculous situations, plenty of laughs and a story that isn't afraid to poke fun at just about everything. The show has earned its reputation as one of the biggest musical comedy hits ever, with nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, four Olivier Awards® and a Grammy® for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Now, the hit production has made its way back to Brisbane, with Sean Johnston (Hairspray) starring as Elder Price and Nick Cox (Beauty and the Beast) as Elder Cunningham. The cast also features Paris Leveque as Nabulungi, Luke Haberecht as Elder McKinley, Bert LaBonté as Mafala Hatimbi, Augie Tchantcho as The General and Matthew Hamilton as Mission President.

With direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw and a creative team packed with Broadway heavyweights, this is one musical comedy that knows how to put on a show.
