WSQ 40th Annual Watercolour Exhibition

The Watercolour Society of Queensland is celebrating 40 years with its Annual Exhibition at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens Auditorium from 18–20 September 2026.

The milestone exhibition will showcase original watercolour artworks by Queensland artists, with works available to purchase throughout the weekend.

Visitors can explore the vibrant world of watercolour while meeting Queensland artists and watching live demonstrations. There will also be a hands-on Try Me tables for those wanting to have a go themselves, plus a raffle with the chance to win original artworks.

For four decades, the Watercolour Society of Queensland has brought artists and art lovers together through creativity, learning and community. 

Whether you're an art enthusiast, practising artist or simply looking for something different to do in Brisbane, everyone is welcome to join the celebration.

Admission is free, making this a perfect opportunity to discover the colour, creativity and versatility of watercolour. Come along to celebrate this special 40th anniversary and experience the work of Queensland's talented watercolour community.
