Best Things to do in Yeronga & Yeerongpilly

The leafy inner southern suburbs of Yeronga/Yeerongpilly are popular with families and feature a charming riverside pocket of traditional and modern homes, excellent parks, public pools and state schools, microbreweries and a smattering of cool cafes.

One of Yeronga's quirks is the cluster of streets near the river that all start with O and are named after the first P&O liners. There are also some grand heritage-listed Queenslanders, and secret pocket parks as well as a riverside walk that leads to UQ across the Eleanor Schonell Bridge.

Here are some of the best things to do and places to eat and drink in Yeronga/Yeerongpilly;

Osteria Epoca is a charming Italian café, bar and restaurant tucked away in an historic little pocket of Yeronga
Pizzeria 1760 is Yeronga’s go to for authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza and traditional Italian pasta
Andonis is a hidden gem of a café and bar tucked away on an industrial side street in Yeerongpilly
Few who visit this impressive stately park with its woodlands and memorial paths would realise that it’s one of the oldest in Brisbane.
ASA Cafe in Yeronga is the go-to for freshly made juices, bubble teas, bagels, dumplings and more

One of the best breakfast cafes on Brisbane's southside is serving creative Insta-worthy all-day breakfasts from both its Yeronga and Yeerongpilly cafes

Urban Saigon is a little slice of Vietnam found on a suburban street corner, serving authentic Vietnamese street food
Slipstream Brewing is a boutique brewery and tap room located in the inner-city suburb of Yeerongpilly
Spread in a narrow ribbon along Yeronga’s riverfront is this peaceful park which is both a great locale for cycling, rollerblading and strolling as well as containing a lovely sand-floored children’s playground.
M.Y. Roasting Café is a charming child-friendly and dog-friendly cafe tucked away in Yeronga
Helios Brewing Company is brewing local beer in a solar powered brewery located in the suburb of Yeerongpilly.
This slick little cafe is situated opposite Yeronga school, thereby packing in the parents with prams around school hours.
Those looking for a non-taxing stroll may enjoy the first 2 km return section of this semi-shaded walk along the river

One of several swimming pools which were built after World War II as a memorial, there are 4 swimming pools - indoor heated pool, 50 metre heated outdoor pool, 25 metre heated outdoor pool and kids' wading pool
