Hallowed Grounds Café

Mt Gravatt

Updated: Dec 20, 2025

Since opening at the beginning of 2012, Hallowed Grounds Café at Mt Gravatt has become known for being a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy top notch foodie dishes and coffee whilst taking in the eclectic environment.

Breakfast is served all day and includes the likes of garlic cream omelette, katsu Benny, French toast stack, chive & onion pancake and nutella brioche.

Lunch options include chicken bao, dipped cheese burger, beef brisket Benny, steak sandwich, house salad and fish & chips.

Patrons can also choose home-baked treats like lamingtons, lemon and ginger slice, or Moroccan orange and pistachio cake.

The decor is what sets this place apart from other Southside cafes though. It's filled to the brim with quirky collectables and vintage bric-a-brac, many with price tags attached.

Good to know – Hallowed Grounds is dog friendly with doggy treats available.

Need to know – Parking is available on-street or behind the cafe, down the lane.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
