It's always a wonderful time to explore the best of both worlds that the Tweed region offers, and our wonderful friends at Tourism Tweed are giving you the chance to win a most memorable luxury getaway for two to do just that.
Your adventure starts when you check-in to your luxury villa at La Rocher Eco Retreat where you will be enjoying three nights of majestic views across the stunning surrounding countryside and hinterland. A bunch of locally-grown, fresh flowers will welcome you, along with a bottle of sparkling wine to herald your arrival and help you to begin the wind-down into Tweed time.
Depending on the time of year, you can choose to take time to plan the itinerary for the coming days from the comfort of the double-side log fire in your villa; from the deck as you take in the sights & sounds of nature; or perhaps even as you soak in your villa's freestanding bath with endless views across the distant ranges.
To give you a taste of the variety of gastronomic delights the Tweed offers, as part of the prize package you and your foodie companion will be also experiencing:
- An unforgettable meal at Mavis's Kitchen, a fabulous country-style restaurant that focuses on tailoring its seasonal menu based on organic, local produce and ingredients.
- At the home of the colourful Ink Gin, a behind-the-scenes Distillery Tour of Husk Distillers will give you an insight into how the magic is made, including a guided Ink Gin tasting, finishing with a rum tasting flight.
- Serving casual Italian fare that is good for the soul, No. 35 Cabarita Kitchen & Bar is a top spot to sit and enjoy the buzz of this laidback coastal village and perfect to relax and refuel for more exploring.
- Caffeine aficionados will jump at the chance to partake in an exclusive Private Coffee Experience for two in Bastion Lane Espresso Bar, housed in the 109-year-old, heritage-listed Uki Post Office. As well as a personal tour of the roastery, you will take away with you keep cups and 1kg of their signature blend to savour at home.
