The ever-innovative and hugely influential, living jazz legend Herbie Hancock is coming to Brisbane performing live on stage at QPAC on Sunday, June 2.

There are few artists in the music industry who have had more influence on acoustic and electronic jazz and R&B than Herbie Hancock. His illustrious career, now spanning six decades, has seen the legendary jazz musician win an astounding 14 Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as an Academy Award for his Round Midnight score.

Hancock’s prolific recording career has provided samples for generations of hip-hop and dance artists. In addition, he's collaborated with some of the world's most iconic pop artists including Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Annie Lennox, Paul Simon and Snoop Dog.

Hancock will be joined live on stage by a stellar line-up including long-time band members, guitarist Lionel Loueke, bassist James Genus and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, performing classic staples surrounded by a fluid mix of Hancock’s extensive catalogue.
