Star Trek Live In Concert

QSO’s Star Trek Live in Concert is set to take Trekkies and music fans on an unforgettable intergalactic journey, boldly where noone has gone before.

For one night only at the Royal International Convention Centre, worlds collide as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra joins forces with J.J. Abram’s acclaimed Star Trek film. Audiences will be whisked off into outer space by the live orchestra playing as the movie is simultaneously shown in high definition on the big screen.

One of the box office smash hits of 2009, the rebooting of the classic film franchise was widely acclaimed and follows Captains Spock and James T. Kirk on board the USS Enterprise as they combat Nero, a Romulan from their future who threatens the United Federation of Planets.

Famed Hollywood composer Michael Giacchino has created powerful and inspired musical scores that manage to transform and enrich every sequence or scene in the movie, and, played live by the orchestra, ensure that audiences experience the film in a way that can’t be replicated at the cinema or in the home.
