Surfers Paradise Festival

Gold Coast

The biggest event on the Gold Coast calendar, The Surfers Paradise Festival takes over the beach, streets, laneways and parks of Surfers Paradise throughout April.

Surfers Paradise Festival

Go on a Swingin’ Safari or lantern lit ghost tour, view night glow art, ride the magic double decker bus, hit the laneway festival, build Lego, dine at the street food markets, watch a symphony on the sand or short films in the park or party at one of the mega beach concerts as the arts, food, music and culture is celebrated in unique Gold Coast style during 4 weekends of fabulous community events.

Surfers Paradise Festival

Highlights of the festival still to run include:

Australian Street Entertainment Championships – Its street entertainment on a mega scale for a whole weekend as jugglers, mime artists, puppeteers, clowns, acrobats and magicians vie for the crowd’s attention on 4 pop up stages.

Surfers Paradise Festival

Seafire – The skies above Surfers Paradise ignite in a spectacular night of fireworks and fire performances as teams of top pyros go head to head to a thumping background beat.

One Way Street Party – This mini laneway festival is a snapshot of the Gold Coast’s emerging cultural scene, with street markets, indie bands, vintage fashion and live art projects.

Surfers Paradise Festival

SIPFest – Kick back in a bean bag after the one way street party with a movie shorts session in the park: The Shorts in Paradise Film Festival.

Surfers Paradise Festival

There’s plenty of foodie action to be had as well, with the Gold Coast’s highest and longest lunch at Skypoint, a wine dinner with Luke Mangan, the weekend long Gold Coast International Food, Wine and Music Festival and a 6 day long mini festival – Capri on Via Roma - on the Isle of Capri.
