Plantapalooza Plant Festival

Brisbane’s green thumbs can stock up on plants, pots and garden goodies at Plantapalooza in Rocklea on Saturday October 10 from 6am, with plenty happening for the whole family.

Held at the Rocklea Showgrounds alongside the popular Saturday Fresh Market, Plantapalooza is set to transform the undercover venue into a garden lover’s paradise, with an expanded selection of indoor and outdoor plants, succulents, herbs, veggie seedlings and seasonal flowers.

You’ll also find plenty of pots and garden supplies, plus local nurseries, growers and horticulture experts on hand to help you bring your garden dreams to life - whether you’re a seasoned green thumb or simply looking to add a little more greenery at home.

And because Plantapalooza is running alongside the Saturday Fresh Market, you can easily make a morning of it. Browse more than 100 stalls packed with fresh produce, flowers, deli goods, meats, cheeses, baked treats and homewares, before grabbing breakfast and settling in for live music in the food court from 6am to 12 noon.

Bringing the kids? There’s plenty to keep little gardeners entertained too, including a free wildlife show, jumping castle, face painting and Little Garden Growers, where they can get their hands dirty planting their very own seedlings.

With $2 entry and an undercover venue, Plantapalooza is shaping up to be an easy spring Saturday outing for plant lovers, families and anyone who can’t resist bringing home just one more plant.
