Queensland’s quirkiest winter festival is set to return bigger, brighter and more colourful than ever when Jumpers and Jazz in July takes over the Southern Downs from July 16–26.
Combining vibrant yarn art, live jazz, local food and wine, community celebrations and family-friendly fun, the much-loved festival transforms Warwick and eight surrounding communities into a creative winter wonderland.
A highlight of the festival is its famous yarnbombed trees, with talented fibre artists turning streetscapes into spectacular works of art. Excitement is already building around the Yarntopians' highly anticipated installation, Submerged, a magical under-the-sea exhibition brought to life through intricate yarn creations, vibrant colours and plenty of imagination.
Music lovers can enjoy a packed program of jazz performances, including two signature ticketed concert events that pair live music with gourmet eats, cocktails and Granite Belt wines. Foodies won't want to miss the popular Local Flavours Long Lunch, where a three-course paddock-to-plate feast with matched wines offers the chance to meet local producers and savour the region’s best flavours.
Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the festival, from the Jazzy Kids Zone and suitcase rummage to live entertainment and community activities. Car enthusiasts can also admire an impressive collection of classic and collectible vehicles at the grand Automobile Display.
With 10 days of music, colour, creativity and community spirit spread across nine Southern Downs communities, Jumpers and Jazz in July offers the perfect excuse for a winter getaway. Visit the festival website to explore the full program and start planning your trip.
