The Great Australian Pumpkin Roll™

Goomeri, the quaint little town brimming with rural charm, plays host to one of Queensland's most unique events The Great Australian Pumpkin Roll™, proudly presented by the Gympie Regional Council on Sunday 26th May, 2024.

Policeman's Hill will be transformed into the pumpkin rollers playground as the crowds gather and this much anticipated event of pumpkin pandemonium proceeds.

There are several divisions with prizes for both the Adult Division (13+)​ and the Junior Division (12 and under). If there is any doubt, proof of age will be required. Competitors need to be aware that the locals take their pumpkin rolling very seriously and disqualifications are a real possibility if the rules are broken. 

The winner of this event will go on to be the Pumpkin Roll Champion and secure a spot on the much admired Goomeri Pumpkin Festival Honour Roll.

The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival offers many other wonderful events from May 24-26 such as Wine & Cheese Under The Stars, the Pumpkin Cup Golf Challenge, Clovely Estate Gala Dinner, Twilight Markets and the traditional Pumpkin Street Parade.
