FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.The UQ Alumni Book Fair returns in 2026, set to attract Brisbane's book lovers and bargain hunters with more than 130,000 books and more on offer, held over 3 days from February 27 to March 1.
Brisbane's oldest book fair kicks off on Friday at The University of Queensland St Lucia campus, with a bounty of books for sale including exceptionally rare books, well-loved classics and children's books, from as little as $1.
As well as hardback books and paperbacks, there are DVDs, CDs, LPs, magazines, sheet music and more, all priced competitively with proceeds going towards student scholarships and research at UQ.
On Saturday 28 February, the Alumni and Community Day offers free activities for book lovers of all ages with story time, book talks, interactive stations and – new this year – a Kids Character Costume Parade, with prizes up for grabs!
