Italian Serenatas journeys through the great cultural capitals of Naples, Rome, Venice and Florence, exploring the passion, elegance and drama that defined Italian Baroque music. The program features works by celebrated composers including Vivaldi, Corelli, Porpora, Caldara, Falconieri and more, blending virtuosic instrumental music with expressive arias and theatrical storytelling.

Renato Dolcini

Internationally renowned baritone Renato Dolcini is recognised as one of today’s foremost interpreters of Italian Baroque repertoire, having performed at prestigious venues including the Berliner Philharmonie, Lincoln Center and the Barbican. His charismatic stage presence and deep connection to the repertoire bring authenticity and emotional intensity to every performance.

Combined with the Brandenburg’s signature sound world of gut strings, Baroque bows and historic instruments, Italian Serenatas offers Brisbane audiences an electrifying evening of music that is intimate, passionate and full of life!
