King Street is set to transform its beloved Queen Amann Bakery into a high energy dancefloor, for Rise & Vibe, a one-off café rave experience in the heart of the precinct on Saturday, February 28.

Presented by King Street and Good Food Events in collaboration with AM Social, this free, one off morning rave will see DJs Talisha and Teeks, plus a special guest appearance by Kinder a music sister duo in the dance music scene, deliver an early hours electronic set powered by caffeine not cocktails.

Inspired by the international café rave movement that emerged in Europe and has since taken hold in cities including Paris, London and New York, café raves reimagine nightlife for the morning hours. Often described as “soft clubbing” or a modern morning club moment, they trade late nights and alcohol for music, movement and connection - delivering all the energy of a night out, without the hangover, and all before midday.

Landing at the end of Feb Fast, the King Street x AM Social café rave taps into this cultural moment, offering a timely, music-led way for people to come together around coffee, community and shared energy.

For Queen Amann Bakery owner Larry Lim, the appeal is simple, “Bakeries are already social spaces. Adding music just amplifies what’s already there. A café rave feels like a modern take on community – and we’re excited to be part of bringing that to Brisbane.”

Good to know - Rise & Vibe is part of King St Uncovered, a program that celebrates the flavours, style, and immersive experiences that make King St a destination of discovery. Running from February to May and presented by Good Food Events, King St Uncovered invites Brisbane to rediscover the precinct in bold new ways—uncovering hidden energy, unexpected moments, and the vibrant culture woven through every corner of King St.
