À la Bonne Franquette

New Farm

Updated: Oct 23, 2025

À la Bonne Franquette is a French deli and takeaway spot located on Brunswick Street in New Farm.

A one-of-a-kind concept for Brisbane's culinary scene, the French-inspired eatery is named after an old-school French expression meaning 'simple' or 'unfussy'. À la Bonne Franquette is just that, bringing hearty and delicious French food to Brisbane without all of the fancy fuss.

Shelves of food, À la Bonne Franquette New Farm

The cosy space features shelves of imported goodies, with everything from pates and terrines to lollies, chips, cheeses, syrups and sauces. After you've had a little browse, you will make your way to the back of the space which boasts a small kitchen that dishes out a range of home-style French eats.

With only 4 seats available in store, À la Bonne Franquette's kitchen is geared to takeaway fare - enjoy it at home or at one of New Farm's beautiful green spaces.

Plate of Creme Caramel, À la Bonne Franquette New Farm

The mouthwatering menu is made up of classic French fare like Bœuf bourguignon, Canard braisé au vin blanc (Braised duck Maryland with white wine sauce), Coq au vin (Braised chicken Maryland, cooked in rich red wine jus), French raclette (Melted raclette cheese, served on steamed potato, with charcuterie and pickles) - just to name a few. Sweet tooths can dig into flan pâtissier, dark chocolate mousse or Crème caramel.
