Brisbane

THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

Skating At Festival sees Brisbane's King George Square transformed into an enchanted white winter wonderland with ice skating rink, magical lighting, music, fantastic rides including ice slides, Kanga skating aids and delicious food and drink options.

With the Brisbane City Hall as a stunning backdrop, Skating At Festival returns for its 3rd year, in partnership with Air Canada, to give Brisbane residents, from families to corporates, the chance to experience ice, snow and all the associated fun activities without leaving town.

Suitable for all ages (from 3-92 years!) and abilities and those who’ve never ice-skated, the Air Canada ice skating rink has special 'Kanga' Skate Aids recommended for those aged 3-5yrs to help them along.

Then there's The Runway, an adrenaline-filled ice slide where participants get to race at thrilling speeds on a rubber snow tube.

Dotted around the square will be a Winter Market peddling warming winter treats and the cosy apres-ski Maple Leaf Bar, with music and entertainment to keep the winter party going.

Skating At Festival is ideal for school holiday fun, with plenty of activities to keep kids entertained all day long. Parents can either join them on the ice or watch from the sidelines whilst enjoying a coffee or snack from one of the many food and beverage vendors.

Thu & Fri - 10am to 10pm (last session at 9pm so closes at 10pm)
