The theme for this year's show will be ‘City of Dreams’ and will feature over 100,000 pyrotechnic effects from 6 barges on the Brisbane River. The soundtrack will be streamed so people can listen no matter where they are watching from.
The early show will be at 7.45pm and feature music for younger audiences, inspired by trending sounds, while the midnight show will feature classic tracks mixed with uplifting tracks. Each show will run for approximately ten minutes.
There will also be two stunning drone shows featuring 200 drones, one at 9pm and a second at 11pm, with each running for 8 minutes. These will be visible from South Bank and Queen’s Wharf Brisbane only.

Need to know - Free travel applies from 8.00pm on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday 31 December 2025) until 5.30am on New Year’s morning (Thursday 1 January 2026) for all Translink bus, train, ferry and tram services in South East Queensland – this includes Council buses, CityCats and ferry services.
South Bank's car park will be open for pre-booked parking only, with no entry allowed between 7pm to 8:30pm and 11:15pm to 1am. Spots must be pre-booked before Wednesday, December 31.
