MAGGIE MAY HAS CLOSED AND BEEN REPLACED BY GAS HOUND KITCHEN & BAR.
Maggie May is an uber cool seventies-style supper club with a modern twist, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and up-late drinks in Newstead.
Featuring a funky 70's aesthetic with hues of mustard gold, brown and teal, Maggie May is the perfect convivial place to meet with friends, family or colleagues at any time of day or night.
The menu, with a focus on casual dining, offers an eclectic selection of small and large share plates, with something for everyone, as well as an extensive wine and beverage list.
Start the day with a morning coffee from 6am, then, from 7am, settle in for a leisurely breakfast such as baked stone fruit bruschetta, peanut butter pancakes, house granola, the Gardeners Breakfast (delicious veggie breakfast) or Maggie Breakfast (classic big breakfast).
A top spot for a long lunch, choices include the Queensland Prawn Salad, the porkerhouse with truffled green pea puree, pancetta potatoes and chorizo butter or South Australian black mussels with garlic chilli, house Napoli and garlic bread.
Maggie May truly comes alive at night, with carefully crafted concoctions including Disco Daddies Ice Tea and Saturday Night Fever, perfectly paired with delicious small plates like prawn rolls, gin-cured salmon and duck shanks with chilli caramel.
The drinks menu is second-to-none and designed to party, from the curated wine list featuring drops from Austria and Argentina together with boutique Australian wines, French champagne and Italian prosecco, to the extensive cocktail list to take you through to midnight.
Enjoy cocktails on tap like Spritz or Maggie's Punch, along with Classics such as Sazerac, Amaretto Sour, Harvey Wallbanger and Americano. Or take your pick from Maggie's Originals - contemporary creations with 70's throwback names like Oh, Jane Fonda, Evergreen, Dirty Harry, Superstition and Animal Housed.
