Lifeline Bookfest

Brisbane's iconic and much-loved Lifeline Bookfest will return to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre this winter for nine massive days from June 27 to July 5.

Queensland's largest, second-hand book sale will boast more than 1 million books, starting as low as $2.50, with an abundance of great reads across all genres, including cooking, health and fitness, gardening, history, biography, children’s books, as well as games, puzzles, DVDs, CDs and more.

This Bookfest also features the MARVELous ‘comic-fest’ section, with more than ten thousand comics, graphic novels, memorabilia, and many other collectable items for fans to explore.

There’s chillout spaces to sit and read, a record player to listen to your old favourites or find a new one, and a game zone to test your skills on video games new and old.

Not only are there great prices, but every book you buy helps support the 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Support Line so they can answer more phone calls from Queenslanders in need. Books really can save lives!

Good to know - Trolleys will be available, but bring your own ‘book carrying device’ (BCD), whether it be a personal shopping trolley to a backpacks, pram or suitcase! Lifeline Enviro Bags are available for $1 each. There is also an onsite cafe where you can enjoy a refreshment.

Need to know - Wear comfy shoes – it’s a massive event, and you’ll want to explore every nook and cranny. Eftpos is the preferred payment method, however cash payment is available from select checkouts.
