Free Guided Tours are available every day of the week with expert volunteers sharing fascinating stories and revealing the inner-city haven’s hidden secrets.

There are six tours to choose from and each take about 60-90 minutes at a gentle pace:

Behind the Scenes Tour

Get a sneak peek into how Roma Street Parkland’s top horticulturalists get the place spring-ready when they show you the parts the public rarely see in this special behind-the-scenes tour.

Bush Tucker Inspired Lunch 

Explore the Rainforest and learn about the diverse range of edible fruits, roots, nuts, seeds and leaves which grow naturally in the Australian bush and have been used by Indigenous Australians for thousands of years. At the conclusion of your guided tour, enjoy a delicious Bush Tucker inspired Lunch at The Garden Room Cafe on a date TBA (postponed from Sep 3 due to weather) - 3-course lunch plus arrival drink (beer, wine or soft drink) for $90. Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place

Spectacle Garden is the Parkland’s stunning showpiece. Learn about one of Australia’s most incredible gardens and the work that goes into its breathtaking collection of flowerbeds and features.

Art in the Park

Roma Street Parkland is home to an outdoor gallery of public art with sculptures, mosaics and murals. Discover the fascinating story behind the collection and its artists.

Upper Parkland Heritage Tour

Step back in time with a fun history lesson where you’ll learn all about the Parkland’s Indigenous roots, its stint as a bustling marketplace and how it became a destination for WWII soldiers looking for R&R.
