A sibling for Alderley's Soul Revolver Co, Gastown is located around the corner from The Junk Bar, next to Ugly Food & Co on Waterworks Road.

Owned by Brisbane-born Sloane and Canadian ex-pat Marn, the cafe is inspired by Vancouver's historic precinct, Gastown, famous its whistling steam clock and beautiful Victorian buildings which house hip cafes and trendy boutiques.

The cafe is a dimly-lit with globe lights and features forest green walls and glossy green tiles, with small timber tables and bentwood chairs filling the snug space - perfect for sipping lattes or indulging with a glass of wine or cheeky cocktail*.

Coffee on pour is roasted locally by The Black Lab, served along with a rotating selection of single origins from Australian roasters like Melbourne's Seven Seeds and Maker Coffee.

Food wise, there's a tasty array of sweet treats such as flaky croissants and delicious pastries supplied by Farine & Co, as well as savoury snacks like quiche, ham and cheese croissants, and breakfast burgers.

*In the near future, Gastown will transform into a wine bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights serving boutique wine, craft beer, and classic cocktails. Follow Gastown on Instagram for updates.
