Break out the sequins and prepare to dance as Velvet Rewired, starring the divine Ms Marcia Hines, comes to the Raine & Horne Wynnum Spiegeltent as part of the Wynnum Fringe Festival from November 16 to December 4, 2022.

Velvet Rewired Wynnum

Since its world premiere in 2015, born in the sequins and disco dust of Adelaide Fringe Festival, this original big, bold and beautiful extravaganza has travelled the globe to thunderous applause and sold-out performances, and now the ultimate love letter to disco is back!

Velvet Rewired

The big, bold, and beautiful production stars the iconic Marcia Hines as The Diva, Joe Accaria as The DJ and the spectacular Craig Reid as Hula Boy, while Country Mike will be played by Tom Sharah and the Sirens by Giuliana Carniato and Jacinta Gulisano

Velvet Rewired Wynnum

They are joined by the internationally acclaimed skating duo, Pierre and Stef - the Skating Willers - and the amazing aerialists Beau Sargent and Harley Timmermans, along with a cast of internationally acclaimed circus, dance performers and vocalists fusing across flawless glamour, glitz and jaw-dropping circus skills.

With an amalgam of circus, burlesque and music that offers sheer entertainment to a disco soundtrack, along with a sprinkling of mirrorball glitter, Velvet Rewired is and has always been a nightclub, a state of mind, a fantasy.

Velvet Rewired Wynnum

Inspired by Studio 54, a club famous for its wild parties and hedonism, but also ultimately for its cultural acceptance - blind to colour, creed, class, gender, size and sexuality - Velvet Rewired continues this theme of celebration, family and freedom.

So get set for a euphoric dose of disco fever peppered with glitter - not to mention a killer disco soundtrack that will have fans boogying all the way to wonderland!
