Snowflakes in Stanthorpe is a magical, winter festival that gives visitors a real snow-based experience, over the weekend of July 4-6, 2025.

Every second year, the coolest town in Queensland gears up to host thousands of visitors on a winter family holiday with a guaranteed chance of throwing snowballs. The festival features three full days of crafts, activities, markets and entertainment at both the Snowgrounds and Stanthorpe's main street.

On Friday, rug up and enjoy the winter market stalls, stage entertainment and incredible ice sculpture challenge. Then, at night, stay for the fireworks display.

On Saturday at the Showgrounds, hit the snowfield and the skating rink, wander the winter markets, watch the on stage entertainment, indulge in the food fest and relax in the local wine and beer marquee. And don't miss the chance to enjoy toasted marshmallows and chestnuts as well as mulled wine, available all weekend.

For younger ones, there's a heap of free activities including toboggans, giant snowglobes, petting zoo, climbing wall, inflatables, puppet show, enchanted forest, kids workshops and 'snow' much more!

Then on Sunday, there's more action to be had at the Showgrounds, starting at 8am with a Bushie's Breakfast, which includes  billy tea, damper and scones, and a BBQ breakfast. The skating rink and market stalls will be open from 9am and continue until 2pm, along with kids activities and on stage entertainment.  As an added extra, the Stanthorpe Historic Vehicle and Machinery volunteers will have their cars and machines on show.
