This open-air Bush Chapel is situated in the grounds of Queen’s Park in Ipswich and is a beautiful spot to share nuptials with your beloved, surrounded by family and friends.

Two rows of quaint, white bench-style seating are perfectly spaced for guests to each have the best seat in the house (or the garden) and, depending on the time of year and the time of day of your wedding ceremony, you may also enjoy the shade cast down by the majestic trees nearby.

The gardens of Queen’s Park double as the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos on the day, with stunning outdoor wedding photo locations such as Nerima Japanese Gardens or Lion’s Look-Out, perched high on the hill within the park and offering dramatic, panoramic views across the city and all the way to the distant Mt Marrow, The Bluff and beyond.

Depending on the number of guests in attendance at your wedding, you could consider holding your function at Queen’s Park Café. The venue, boasting lovely views across the park, is available for functions and offers catering options.

Need to know – For weddings in Queen’s Park, Ipswich, you will need to gain permission from Ipswich City Council and apply for a permit. A maximum of 120 guests are allowed. 

Nice to know – The bush chapel is also the perfect location for a naming ceremony in Ipswich.
