Stockyard Creek Circuit

This easy bushwalk even for young kids passes through the Brisbane Koala Bushland and at its entrance it has a fun interactive wildlife listening activity for kids as well as picnic shelters, amenities and electric BBQs

Toohey Forest Reserve

Take the scenic 1 hr Sandstone Circuit past ancient sandstone rock formations, with two stunning lookouts, boardwalks and wide easy paths to navigate and a small picnic area near the car park

Spotted Gum Trail

The Spotted Gum Trail is a walking track that connects the Brisbane Botanic Gardens to the Mt Coot-Tha Summit

Bunyaville Conservation Park

The Bunyaville Track is a gentle 1.9km walk through bushland with signposts along the way explaining facts about abundant wildlife in the area and picnic spots, BBQs and amenities dotted throughout the area

Bellbird Grove Walk

Pinic area inside Bellbird Grove, D'Aguilar National Park

There are 2 easy walking trails here - the Turrbal and the Golden Boulder, with the latter being a fascinating track through the remains of an old gold mine with a mock-up miners hut

One of Brisbane's most varied, interesting and beautiful bush walks has a playground, picnic facilities, Senses Trail and Discovery Centre by the entrance and car park

Walkabout Creek Walk

Take the 1.5km Corymbia walk which circumnavigates the Enoggera Reservoir and combine with a dip in the water at the mini-beach and a visit to the Walkabout Creek Wildlife Centre

Point Halloran Reserve

This otherwordly Wet'n'Wild Circuit takes you through tea tree groves, red claypan flats, she oaks and a red gum forest in just 1.25kms with a little kids playground on the way

Castle Hill Blackstone Reserve

This fascinating walk is the only place in Queensland where you can actually spot some 'castle ruins' (remnants of 'Blackstone Castle') along with mine relics and views from the top

Kids can walk this easy circuit with boardwalks underneath giant towering ancient fig trees and at the end there's a fire pit then not far away is Jolly's Lookout for a scenic picnic with stunning views

Denmark Hill Conservation Park

This inner city bush reserve has many interest points for kids including a 'jurassic forest' with dinosaur prints, old mining tracks and shafts and a water tower to climb

Kumbartcho Sanctuary & Fairytale Village

A northside Brisbane sanctuary for native flora and fauna, featuring pathways around a lake and river and a hidden fairytale village
