Ion Cafe & Bar in Mitchelton occupies a classic Queensland worker's cottage with an outdoor deck which is the perfect space to enjoy a healthy breakfast or lunch.

A variety of all day breakfast options at Ion Cafe & Bar include Eggs Benedict with bacon, mushrooms or smoked salmon; corn fritters; Big Breakfast or Veggie Big Breakfast; Smashed Avo or Loaded Avo (topped with marinated feta, maple smoked speck & poached egg; Hashed (crumbed house made potato hash, avocade mousse, salsa, chorizo and haloumi salad; or Waffles (Rocky Road or bacon and maple syrup).

There is also the option to Create Your Own from a wide selection of options including scrambled, poached or fried eggs; Turkish, sour dough, gluten-free or house-made pumpkin bread; with add-ons such as haloumi, chorizo, bacon, hash brown, tomato, spinach, marinated mushrooms or baked beans and sauces (Hollandaise, aioli, tomato relish, BBQ or tomato sauce).

Alternatively, for lunch (10am - 1.30pm) there are cheese, vegetarian or Angus beef burgers, fish or calamari and chips, chicken BLT or Greek salad. There are also many light options such as croissants, muffins, toasties, banana bread and brownies. All meals can be accompanied by a range of fresh smoothies, juices, TWG teas and single origin Colombian coffee.

There is also a great value kids menu for lunch, with nothing over $10 and including toasties, chicken or corn fritter salad, fish and chips or cheese burger as well as waffles, ice-cream and kids sized milk shakes.
