LE COIN BISTRO HAS CLOSED

Le Coin Bistro brings a charming slice of France to the corner of a 1920's shopping precinct in Red Hill.

Featuring a garden courtyard with fountain and ambient dining room upstairs in the high-ceilinged historic building, Le Coin Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an emphasis on dishes from the Alsace region..

The only place in Brisbane serving petit dejeuner (traditional French breakfast), customers can enjoy Croque Monsieur (toasted sourdough with smoked ham, Dijon bechamel & gruyere) or Croque Madame (with fried egg); Brioche French toast with whipped marscapone and seasonal berries; Omelettes with tomate provencale and baguette; Les Ouefs Florentine (poached eggs, spinach & hollandaise on fresh baked croissant) or Les Viennoiseries (a selection of rench pastries).

For dinner, as is French custom, customers can select from a set 2-course menu for$58pp (entree and main, or main and dessert) or a 3-course menu for $72pp.

House speciality - an Alsace tradition and a must-try - are Tarte Flamee or Flammekueche -a thin pizza like-base spread with fromage blanc (white cheese), with a variety of toppings to choose from, including Gratinee (onion, bacon & gruyere cheese), Provencale (tomato, white anchovies, onion and olives) or St Tropez (creole style marinated prawn, roasted garlic oil and parsley).

For lunch, the menu is similar to dinner, with the addition of Noix de St Jacques (seared scallops with pea puree) and Salade Nicoise for entree and the addition of Dijon-marinated spatchcock and a Chef's Special dish of the day for mains, along with a slightly pared back dessert menu.

The wine menu at Le Coin features a majority of wines from the leading wine regions of France together with a local Clovelly Estate sparkling, white and red. There's also a selection of gin-based cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, French-themed house cocktails and a menu of traditional apperitifs and digestives (including Dom Benedictine, Pernod, Pastis, cognac, calvados and absinthe.

Le Coin Bistro Red Hill

Good to know - Le Coin Bistro is a sibling for popular Auchenflower establishment Haig Rd Bistro. Why not combine a lunch or dinner at Le Coin with a movie across the road at Red Hill Cinemas?

Need to know - There is also a child's menu for breakfast lunch and dinner, with a colouring activity on the back. On street parking on Enoggera Tce.
