Exploring Robina
Gold Coast
Robina is one of the Gold Coast's best kept secrets - a 1980's master-planned community that is central to so many of the Gold Coast's attractions whilst offering residents a laidback leafy suburban lifestyle.
Visitors to the Gold Coast drive past this mini city which looms like a toy town mirage behind a series of picturesque lakes, on their way to Broadbeach, Miami or Burleigh Heads yet not many stop to explore the hidden gems within.
No trip to Robina is complete without a visit to ArtVo Illusions, a unique interactive art gallery that is fun for all ages and open seven days a week. Unlike anything else to be found in Queensland this amazing gallery features 80 works of 'Trick Art', with every millimetre of the floor and walls hand painted so guests can immerse themselves in the experience by touching and interacting with the works.
Right next door to ArtVo you'll find The Kitchens, Robina's famous foodie precinct, home to a bounty of fantastic eateries and bars. Eat your way around South East Asia at Mad Asian and Ari Thai Kitchen & Bar, get your Japanese fix at Muso Ramen & Gyoza or Saiko Teppanyaki; dine in Italy (Olivia Italian Eatery) and Germany (The Bavarian) or 'taco' a trip to South America (La Cha Cha Cabana). You can also tuck into some old school burgers at Betty's Burgers or pub grub at Malt House.
Sports fans will love the proximity to CBUS Super Stadium, home of the mighty Gold Coast Titans NRL team. The Gold Coast's premier sporting and entertainment venue, the 27,690 seat purpose-built stadium also hosts rugby union, soccer, Nitro Circus and other major community events. The Robina venue hosted Rugby 7’s events as part of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and continues to operate as the premier competition and training facility on the Gold Coast.
If you're looking to stay in Robina, Quest Hotel is a brand new state of the art hotel which has both hotel rooms and apartments from studios to 3 bedroom executive apartments and excellent amenities including a pool, gym and BBQs. You can even bring your pooch along, with a small selection of ground floor courtyard apartments that are pet friendly. Robina is also home to two of the Gold Coast's best-equipped off leash dog parks - Robina Parkway Fenced Agility Dog Park and Robina Common Fenced Agility Dog Park.
Incorporated into the Robina townscape are a trio of tranquil man-made lakes with a shoreline stretching for 20km, known as Robina Lakes. If you fancy a peaceful walk, nearby Lake Orr has a pathway around the shoreline and a scenic waterfront reserve, Lake Orr Parklands, which is home to local birdlife. Wander into Varsity Lakes town centre for a coffee and a bite to eat at Blackboard Varsity café.
Tucked away in the town centre you'll find the Robina Pavilion, a stunning waterfront 350 seat eatery and bar with al fresco Lakeside Precinct featuring cabanas and lounge seating. Inside this must-visit destination is The Brasserie, a massive family friendly dining hall, The Public Bar (a sports bar) and outside on the deck is casual lakeside eatery Sunny's Bar & Kitchen, perfect for a bite to eat and a coffee whilst catching some rays. There's even a dedicated outdoor kids play area, Marco Polo, so children will enjoy their time here whilst the grown-ups relax.
