Brisbane's Secret Suburban Breweries

Hidden away in the suburban warehouse districts of Brisbane can be found a smattering of secret suburban microbreweries

Known only to clued-in locals, each one brews its own brand of fully hand-crafted beer for the tasting.

Hidden behind roller doors, some of which pop open on weekends and spring to life with food trucks and live music, they make a great, relaxed alternative to hitting up the inner-city bars. How many have you visited?

Ballistic Beer Co is a cool suburban brewery, set in an old World War II-era shed in the historic, industrial suburb of Salisbury
Hub Brewing is an old school warehouse dedicated to hand-crafted beer in Geebung, on Brisbane's northside
The atmospheric Crow n Arrow bar lets the good times roll, with a range of top notch beers and quality entertainment
Thirsty Chiefs is the ultimate man cave and beer lovers haunt, where patrons can brew their own beer
Look out for the giant yellow wombat mural adorning the side wall of Redcliffe Peninsula's very own Horny Wombat Brewery
Shelter is a massive craft beer bar housed in a warehouse in industrial Morningside with live music on weekends
Brendale Brewing Co. is a cool taproom and microbrewery tucked away in north Brisbane's warehouse district
